There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed during emergency events as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract for this position, the individual accepts the above stipulations and agrees to report as assigned by the unit manager during an emergency event. Travelers should only apply for this role if they are comfortable with these expectations. This position requires a commitment to working every other weekend. Candidates must have relevant experience, and the unit will not accept first-time travelers. Two manager or supervisor references will be required to obtain clearance to start the contract. Modules will be completed during orientation and are considered non-billable hours. NURSYS reports must be sent with the profile, and it is essential to ensure that the NURSYS is up-to-date. Resources who worked as permanent staff or in-house contractors must be separated from the facility for one full year before returning as travel staff.
