Job Title- Mainframe developer Duration- 12 months (Hybrid (3 Days Onsite per Week)) Location- New York, NY Pay Range- $72/hr W2 Mainframe Development Expertise: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2; focus on delivering scalable and high-performance solutions across key banking product domains. Agile Collaboration & SDLC Knowledge: Participate in Agile development ceremonies, collaborate with cross-functional global teams (BA, QA, DEV, Infrastructure), and contribute to architecture and design discussions. Database & Performance Optimization: Lead database modeling and tuning for DB2; ensure transactional systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. Application Stability & Best Practices: Write clean, high-quality code adhering to system architecture standards; ensure application stability and handle production issues with ownership and accountability. Tools & Technical Stack: Utilize tools like JIRA for Agile management; familiarity with additional mainframe technologies (CICS, REXX, MQ) and willingness to work with distributed systems is a plus.
