Job Title: Travel Contract - Registered Nurse - Cardiac Transplant Telemetry Number of openings: 4 Shift: Night shifts -40 hours (weekends rotating) Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 05/28/2024 Stipend: $1,169 Hourly Pay: $64.85 OT: 1.5 Weekly pay: $2,334.55 JOB DESCRIPTION Cardiac Transplant Stepdown - Registered Nurse Schedule: 12 hours, D/E/N ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULES, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs (see contract for details). Exciting opportunities awaits RNs with an interest in Cardiology and innovative technology specific to the care of the cardiac patient. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for patient with advanced heart failure, heart transplants candidates and recipients, and LVAD therapy. Experience with pre and post op patients. High acuity environment with complex patient cases. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Cardiac Transplant Telemetry experience. Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered New York RN state license One year of Epic experience Experience with Swanz Catheters preferred Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks. Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
