CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist COMPENSATION: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour LOCATION: Fenton, MI JOB TYPE: Full-time HOURS: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday (No overtime) JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with at least 5 years of experience in operating CNC mills and lathes. This role requires the ability to set up, adjust, and ensure the quality of machined parts, as well as a strong understanding of CNC "G Code" programming. Familiarity with Haas, Mori Seiki, and Fanuc controls is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate CNC mills and lathes, including setup and adjustments, based on detailed specifications. Perform machining of parts and products per drawings, ensuring compliance with specifications and material requirements. Make simple edits to G-Code programming and manage multiple machine operations. Maintain high levels of production, adhering to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications. Follow proper operating procedures, maintaining accurate records to ensure quality and compliance. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Participate in the training of Machine Operators and help resolve tooling wear problems. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience. Proficient in G-Code programming and able to make program alterations. Must have personal machinist tools. Experience with setting up 2-axis lathes. Strong organizational skills and cleanliness. Demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance records. Basic math skills and blueprint reading capabilities. Technical training in machining preferred.
