JOB TITLE: Finance AssistantREPORTS TO: Director of FinanceDEPARTMENT: FinanceFLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt Island H2O Water Park is seeking a detail-driven and organized Finance Assistant to support the Controller and Staff Accountant with daily financial operations at our Home Office. This role is essential to keeping our fast-paced water park running smoothly by ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing, and strong internal controls. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the Controller with daily, weekly, and monthly financial tasksProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy and timelinessReconcile bank statements, credit card activity, and vendor accountsAssist with payroll preparation by collecting and verifying timekeeping dataMaintain organized financial files and digital documentationHelp track budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare variance reportsPrepare and distribute internal financial reports as neededAssist with month end and year end closing processesSupport internal and external audits by gathering required documentationReview invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and complianceCommunicate with vendors and internal departments regarding financial inquiriesUphold financial policies and internal control proceduresProvide general administrative support to the Finance DepartmentPerform other finance related duties as assigned by the ControllerAssume additional responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School diploma or equivalentExperience: Previous Finance experience is a plus ● Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial software● Excellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationClear communication skills and a collaborative approachComfortable working in a fast paced, high-volume environmentMust be able to maintain positive, respectful relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies, including employees, community leaders and senior management.Must have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
