Join our team as a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist! The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in building and sustaining a mission-driven workforce dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to underserved communities. This position is responsible for full-cycle recruiting and onboarding support across all roles and levels in the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist works collaboratively with the Human Resources Team to attract, hire, and onboard talented individuals who align with the organization's values, culture, and commitment to equity and access to care. Who We Are Community Dental Care is Minnesota's largest provider of comprehensive dental care for people of all ages on public programs. We operate five clinics across the state, including the Twin Cities, Rochester and Buffalo. Key Responsibilities • Utilize diverse sourcing methods including digital recruiting tools, job boards, social media, professional networks, referrals, job fairs, and educational institutions to identify and attract qualified candidates for both clinical and non-clinical roles. • Attend job fairs, career events, and partner with schools, training programs, and community organizations to promote employment opportunities and build recruitment pipelines. • Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and assess qualifications to ensure alignment with position requirements and organizational mission and values. • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth, timely, and organized interview process. • Provide a positive, inclusive, and transparent candidate experience through timely communication and follow-up throughout the recruitment process. • Work closely with the Human Resources Team and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job postings, and support workforce planning. • Assist with onboarding activities for new hires, including pre-employment requirements, orientation coordination, and ensuring a seamless transition into the organization. • Actively support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by sourcing and engaging candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities. • Ongoing focus on hiring for the following roles: dental assistant, dental hygienist, advanced dental therapists, dentists and scheduling and treatment coordinators. Periodic focus on leadership roles including managers, directors, and administrators. • Maintain knowledge of applicable employment laws and organizational policies to ensure compliance throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. • Perform other recruiting and HR-related duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • 3+ years of recruiting experience, in dental, medical and/or healthcare mission-driven organizations. • Knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing strategies, and candidate assessment methods. • Preferred experience recruiting for dental or medical clinical staff • Demonstrated proficiency in digital recruitment strategies, including social media-based sourcing and outreach • Strong working knowledge of major online job boards, including platform-specific rules, best practices, and techniques to optimize job postings for visibility and applicant quality • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners from various ethnic backgrounds and across professional levels • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS). • Ability to travel locally to attend job fairs, schools, and recruiting events as needed.
