Job Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using standardized tests and observational methods. Craft individual treatment plans that target both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver focused speech therapy sessions designed to improve communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish cohesive treatment strategies. Provide valuable education for patients and families to encourage progress in between therapy sessions. Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care. Maintain precise and punctual documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Keep updated on advancements in the industry through continued education and collaboration with colleagues. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications Required State licensure as a Speech Therapist. Preference given to candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. BLS certification required within the first month of employment. Essential Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for a broad age range, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Remarkable interpersonal communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
