Description Assess individuals from pediatric to geriatric populations using a combination of standardized methods and observational assessments. Craft tailored treatment strategies that align with immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing efficiency. Engage with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure cohesive patient care plans. Provide educational resources for patients and families to support ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment process. Keep comprehensive and timely records according to state, federal, and organizational protocols. Continue your professional growth by staying updated with advances in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications Relevant state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of hire. Skills Strong grasp of evidence-based treatment methodologies for clients of all ages, along with knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills for fostering connections with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to tailor therapy approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
