Description Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using established assessment tools and observational techniques. Create individualized treatment plans that target both immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver direct speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care approaches. Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the clinical environment. Assist with patient evaluations and interventions for those admitted occasionally, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Maintain precise and timely documentation following all applicable state, federal, and organizational protocols. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in the field through educational opportunities and peer interactions. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications State licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities covering all age groups, alongside a profound understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
