Legal Secretary Location: Phoenix, AZ 85012 (In-Office) Our law firm client, a leading labor and employment law practice, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Secretary to join their Phoenix office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong secretarial expertise, advanced typing skills, and hands-on experience with court e-filing and docket management. This position plays a critical role in supporting attorneys and ensuring seamless legal operations and exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, revise, format, and proofread briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other complex legal documents with a high degree of accuracy Maintain fast and accurate typing speed to support busy litigation practices File documents electronically in State and Federal Courts, including experience with e-filing systems such as PACER and ECF Manage and monitor attorney calendars, court deadlines, and case dockets to ensure compliance with filing requirements Maintain organized and accurate client and case files using document management and practice management systems Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and travel arrangements for attorneys Review, enter, and adjust timekeeper timesheets; assist with billing processes, pre-bill review, and reimbursements Provide professional telephone support and occasional receptionist coverage as needed Review vendor invoices, prepare check requests, and ensure timely submission for payment Requirements: High school diploma required; college degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in litigation Demonstrated strong secretarial skills, including advanced document formatting and high typing proficiency Proven experience with State and Federal Court e-filing systems (PACER, ECF, and applicable state platforms) Experience managing or supporting docketing functions and tracking court deadlines Proficiency with legal research and case management tools (LexisNexis, PACER, ECF) Familiarity with practice management, timekeeping, and expense platforms (e.g., Aderant Milana, Concur) Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), including complex formatting (tables of authorities and contents) Strong understanding of legal terminology, litigation procedures, and court rules #AP123
