Packaging Operator

Packaging Operator Location: Southington, CT Pay Range: $19.00/hour - $20.00/hour Duration: Contract to perm Hours: Monday - Friday 6:45am to 3:15pmJob Summary The Packaging Team Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to include the packaging operation, placing boxes on skids, labeling, inspection testing and providing the proper paperwork. This position requires rotation through all phases of Team Operator in the Packaging department. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate the Form, Fill and Seal machine, hand-held scanner, label maker and tape machine. Receive, inspect, sort and pack product in a timely and efficient manner. Visually inspect packing material to ensure appropriate documentation accompanies product. Clean and inspect FFS machines during changeover to ensure all product has been removed and accurate packing occurs. Perform skid changeover and line clearance activities Verify that all paperwork is complete and accurate, including traceability. Assist with training of new Operators. Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas. Model company values and support strategic initiatives. This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site). Engage others, promote and participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement. Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
