Job Title: Database Administrator Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 12 Months Job Description: This position requires the ability to serve in an advanced level role that designs and supports database management systems (DBMS) of high complexity. Under general direction, designs, implements, and maintains highly complex databases. The ability to work independently and under the direct supervision of the Director of Data Management and IT to ensure the planning and completion of diverse database and infrastructure tasks. Identifies current and future threats in the database structure and help the organization reach an acceptable level of risk. Designs, monitors, supports, and maintains databases of a highly complex nature. Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s). Identifies resources required for database designs including upgrades, expansions, and enhancements. Analyzes database efficiency by conducting tests and running diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds.
