This role will assist in providing building and grounds services for our headquarters in Stevens Point as well as our many dental clinics spread throughout the Midwest. Travel to these clinics will be required as part of the role. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Key Responsibilities Building & Grounds Operations Conduct daily assessments of multiple facilities to ensure all systems and spaces are functioning properly. Evaluate and use building systems technology such as HVAC, boilers, electrical (utility and emergency generator), irrigation, fire suppression, building automation, lighting, and security systems. Oversee external grounds, including landscaping, plantings, patios, and other outdoor features. Perform general maintenance and cleaning of interior and exterior areas, including carpets, flooring, parking lots, and storage spaces. Coordinate and participate in snow removal and salting of walkways and entry areas. Maintenance & Repairs Coordinate vendor-led preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and building systems operate efficiently. Perform minor repairs on facility-related equipment. Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Conduct routine maintenance visits to regional facilities and complete required checklists and tasks. Maintain company-owned snow removal and landscaping equipment. Vendor & Contractor Coordination Assist with monitoring contracted cleaning services and facility-related vendors. Work with contractors to schedule, inspect, and ensure completion of work that follows specifications and standards. Obtain estimates and provide recommendations for maintenance and repair work. Participate in vendor selection, monitor contract renewals, and ensure adherence to service agreements. Logistics, Safety, & Other Responsibilities Respond to both emergency and non-emergency facility requests. Support Mail Services with shipping/receiving, storage, and loading dock operations. Coordinate office moves and set up/take down conference rooms for company events. Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and supplies. Support oversight of kitchen and fitness center equipment, ensuring proper operation and compliance. Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all facility products. Maintain corporate vehicle fleet, including routine cleaning and scheduled maintenance. Respond to security system notifications during non-occupied building hours. Assist with budget preparation and compliance within the facilities department. Education/Experience/Personal Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Technical Degree in Electromechanical or related building maintenance degree Must have three to five years building maintenance experience with progressive responsibility for HVAC mechanical, security, electrical and refrigeration Must have the ability to provide extraordinary customer service. Must be experienced with HVAC mechanical equipment and security systems. Must have fundamental knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and generator equipment and control circuits or be willing to be trained in using equipment to perform duties listed Knowledge of MS Office applications, i.e. Outlook and other software for building Able to research and evaluate new products or processes and make recommendations for process Good communication skills for interaction with outside vendors, suppliers and co-workers. Valid driver's license required Ability to operate power tools and equipment Work Conditions The work conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work hours are generally scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; occasional overtime, nights and weekends to complete work responsibilities.
