Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using standardized tests and insightful observations. Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate needs and long-lasting goals pertaining to communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that address communication disorders, language capabilities, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Engage with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive treatment strategies. Provide guidance to patients and their families to continue fostering progress beyond clinical sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive care along the journey of healing. Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already certified by ASHA. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices for all ages, with a firm grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adept at adapting therapy techniques to embrace diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
