Description Conduct evaluations for a diverse patient base that includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized assessments and observational techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate aims and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues. Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies. Provide education for patients and their families, supporting progress beyond clinical visits. Partake in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the treatment pathway. Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Stay informed about the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Must complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the initial 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Ability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical acumen and adept problem-solving skills.
