Puyallup School District is seeking qualified school counselor applicants with skills, abilities, and willingness to provide school counselor support to our district's schools/departments. Substitute School Counselors provide coverage for absent Counselors throughout the school district. Position Hours/Days: At-Will/On-call, based on the 2025-26 SY Calendar Position Rate of Pay 25/26 SY: Full Day Rate (Greater than 3.75 hrs) = $201.57 Half Day Rate (Less than 3.75 hrs) = $100.78 Essential Functions: Please see the attached Job Description Required Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited college or University (Verifiable per unofficial Transcripts) - Documentation MUST be uploaded Current Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate, with a School Councelor endorsement Experience working with children in an instructional capacity Ability and desire to work on a constant basis - minimum 2 times a month Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance Other Information: This Substitute position is screened by the Substitute Services Office ~ and Hired by our Equity and Achievement Department Selected Applicants will be contacted by Human Resources and will be required to complete the Substitute Onboarding Process, which includes; Onboarding Paperwork Official College Transcripts (BA Minimum) sent directly from the college/university Substitute Online Orientation Substitute Onboarding Appointment (Includes scanning of fingerprints) Questions?
