Here's a summary of responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Facilities Operations Manager, the Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of facilities maintenance and repair activities. This role provides technical support and is accountable for scheduling and coordinating emergency, corrective, preventive, predictive, and project-related work across multiple building systems, including interior architectural finishes, electrical systems, interior lighting, plumbing, kitchen and pool equipment, fire and life safety systems, and roofing. The position also performs preventive maintenance within assigned buildings, areas, and zones of responsibility. Here's how you'll have an impact: Interior Architectural Building Maintenance: Perform, coordinate, schedule, and document all emergency, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, repairs, and replacements related to building interior architectural systems. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, carpeting, flooring, painting, and the repair of interior walls, stairways, furniture, windows, doors, and roofing components. Building Electrical Systems: Perform, coordinate, schedule, and document all emergency, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance and repairs, including troubleshooting of building electrical and interior lighting systems. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), USOPC standards, and all applicable local codes, regulations, guidelines, and recommendations. Fire and Life Safety Systems: Perform, coordinate, and schedule all emergency, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities for fire alarm systems, burglar alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants. Mechanical Equipment: Perform, coordinate, and schedule emergency, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance for kitchen equipment, appliances, pools (aquatics) equipment, and associated systems. Specialty Work: Perform, coordinate, and schedule work related to special USOPC and/or NGB events or public functions, including setup and teardown activities, as well as minor move requests. Documentation Control: Ensure all records are current and properly maintained, including tracking preventive maintenance schedules, work requests (scheduled and completed), and equipment warranties. Utilize technical manuals, O&M documentation, warranty information, and reference materials for warranty verification, research, and task execution. Maintain an accurate and organized system for tracking invoicing and billing. Expense Reporting: Accurately record labor hours, materials used and completed work in the maintenance management system to support expense tracking. Promptly notify supervisors of any additional work, delays, or changes that may impact costs or schedules. Project Support and Assistance: Assist managers or project leads with minor renovation and facility repair activities as needed. Support work may include helping gather information, performing assigned tasks, assisting with basic scheduling activities, coordinating with vendors as directed, and documenting work performed. Communicate with building occupants, vendors, and other staff as instructed to support project completion. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school preferred. Must possess a valid CO. Driver's License Must perform a minimum of 40 hours CEU's in area of responsibility Building Operator Certification (BOC) desired but not required Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance within institutional settings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Proven customer service skills Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes. Ability to troubleshoot controls and electrical systems with amp meters, volt meters, tracers, and recording devices Knowledge of single phase and three phase AC circuits Strong understanding of local codes and ordinances Knowledge and use of Electrical Controllers Knowledge and use of Fire/Life Safety Systems Experienced in implementing safety procedures in the workplace Strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate and meet multiple deadlines of projects simultaneously with minimal direction Ability to interact well with public in a highly visited public space Here are the tools, equipment, & conditions: Position requires participation in an on-call rotation and the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and other non-traditional schedules as needed. Occasional non-traditional work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or on-call rotations Occasional domestic and international travel Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, sometimes for extended periods of time Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and/or a scissor lift Job requires employee to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and regularly lift and/or move 50lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects utilizing proper tools and leverage methods in excess of 75 lbs. Ability to operate power tools, small, motorized equipment, diagnostic instruments (including voltmeters, ohmmeters, and test equipment), as well as standard hand tools. Ability to proficiently use computers and other technologies (iPads, smart phones, etc.) Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, CMMS Work Order Management Service Systems, etc. Regular attendance at work is an essential job function Here's where you'll work: Colorado Springs location to include: Olympic & Paralympic Training Center Downtown Headquarters Sport House Velodrome Here's some more information you need to know: Hiring pay range $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. This Full-Time, Non-Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week. Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 5% target.
