Assembler - Electromechanical Prototyping Location: Rochester, NY (100% Onsite) Contract: 18 Months Pay Rate: $30 - $35/hr (W2)Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (Flexible) Expected Start Date: March 10thAbout the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Assembler with strong electronics and electromechanical experience to support prototype builds within a fast?paced engineering lab. This role works closely with engineers, project stakeholders, and manufacturing teams to bring next?generation products to life. Key Responsibilities Assemble electromechanical prototype products following verbal and written instructionsCollaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to refine assembly best practicesProvide recommendations to improve assembly processes, reduce cost, and shorten build timeRedline and update assembly procedures and Bill of Materials (BOM) as neededSupport Manufacturing Engineers in developing efficient work cells Communicate progress, issues, and suggestions professionally and effectively Required Qualifications 5+ years of electronics and/or electromechanical assembly experienceStrong hands-on experience with hand tools, including: Screwdrivers, torque drivers, wrenches, pliers Soldering experience(through?hole & SMT; certifications are a plus)Ability to perform light fabrication: Hand drill, drill press, basic machining tools Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or higher in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldExperience updating technical documents and providing structured improvement feedback Why Join Us?
