We are looking for an experienced quality and commissioning engineer to join our dynamic Datacenter commissioning team. This team is pivotal in setting design standards for our partners, whether they are colocation providers or developers. As part of this center of excellence, you'll be integral in ensuring our new facilities are thoroughly tested and primed for reliable operations that support Oracle's world-class cloud services. We are currently seeking a Lead Data Center Commissioning Engineer. This senior role focuses on integrated systems testing (IST) and commissioning activities, directly interfacing with Oracle and our datacenter partners to ensure our facilities are ready for service. With a strong background in designing and delivering mission-critical facilities and qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering, this position plays a crucial role in defining Oracle's commissioning strategy while collaborating with our design and colocation partners for successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee multiple projects to ensure alignment with business goals and industry standards. Manage contracts, budgets, and resource allocations for timely project completion. Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and suppliers to maintain clear communication and project updates. Technical Documentation: Guide the creation of commissioning scripts and collaborate on Systems Manuals for Data Center Operations personnel. Systems Design: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop datacenter designs and specifications that meet operational and reliability requirements. Implementation and Testing: Review key performance indicators during testing and address any performance issues. Quality & Safety: Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. Core Responsibilities: Planning & Execution: Direct and manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets for high-impact projects. Collaboration: Foster partnerships with leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic objectives. Problem Solving: Lead advanced problem-solving efforts and develop innovative, data-driven solutions to complex issues. Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, facilitating knowledge sharing and professional development within teams. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovative solutions to enhance processes and protocols across the organization. Performance and Development: Participate in the talent strategy, contributing to candidate assessment and selection. Compensation & Benefits: The hiring range is $120,100 to $251,600 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity.
