Civil Design Engineer

Job Description Impact Recruitment is working with a full-service civil engineering and land surveying firm with 43 years of experience, located in Carlsbad CA. Our client offers comprehensive, client-based, professional civil engineering, design, land surveying, mapping and consulting services. They have provided services for public works, utilities, industrial, commercial, retail and large housing projects Design Engineer Responsibilities: Understand engineering concepts used in land development. Create engineering drawings, pipe networks, and corridors. Grading experience on subdivision, commercial and retail sites. Create drainage studies for projects, perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations. Erosion control design and write stormwater management plan. Perform roadway design. Water and sanitary sewer layout. Create utility studyDesign Engineer Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant technical degree. Engineer in Training Certification Required. 3-5 years preferred but not required. Civil 3D Required. Skills: Strong organizational skills. Ability to work with others and communicate. Ability to talk to clients or government agencies. Ability to teach other staff. Ability to read Construction Plans.
