2nd shift maintenance technician

Job Description We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our 2nd shift team at our food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems. Primary Responsibilities Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during shift hours. Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on conveyors, packaging machinery, and processing equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Comply with all food safety and quality standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP. Maintain accurate records of work orders and repairs using the company's maintenance software. Assist with equipment changeovers and setup to meet production schedules. Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (Food & Beverage preferred). Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3-phase electrical systems, motor controls, and mechanical repairs. Compliance: Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and general OSHA safety regulations. Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree is a plus. Abilities: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in environments with varying temperatures. salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year shift: Second work hours: 4 PM - 12 AM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Emergency Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions on high-speed production lines. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PM tasks during shift transitions to ensure equipment longevity and reliability. Sanitation Support: Work closely with the sanitation team to disassemble and reassemble machinery for deep cleaning without damaging sensitive components. Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and OSHA safety standards (Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, etc.). Documentation: Log all repairs and parts usage in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to ensure accurate shift handovers.
