The Student Associate Program is distinct from our Internship Program. Both offer meaningful professional experience, with differences in structure, exposure, and learning focused aligned to their respective objectives Our Student Associate Program offers college students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on work experience while supporting key business functions during the summer months. Student Associates play an important role in contributing to day-to-day operations, assisting with projects, and learning how their academic studies connect to real-world applications. The program is designed to provide meaningful work experience in a professional environment without the structure of a formal internship, while still allowing participants to build skills, expand networks, and make a tangible impact. The Student Associate will partner with the EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives at the facility. This internship provides hands-on experience in process improvement, compliance support, and operational safety within a manufacturing/industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist the EHS Specialist with ongoing safety and environmental initiatives Support the development, documentation, and improvement of EHS processes Complete assigned projects focused on process improvement and compliance Participate in facility safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments Help analyze data and recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety and efficiency Support training efforts and safety communication initiatives Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred This Student Associate role offers valuable real-world experience in EHS operations and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful safety and process improvement initiatives within the facility. Work Environment: Work conditions are typical of a food plant environment This role does not require any domestic travel Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring. Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
