RNs will assist with scheduled visits, procedures, and follow-ups involving prenatal care, family planning, contraception, and gynecological health. The RN plays a key role in patient flow, education, and communication between the physician and patient, supporting high-quality care in a structured clinic environment.General Duties:Deliver nursing services as authorized by clinical privileges and state scope of practiceCollaborate with OB/GYN physicians and healthcare staffMaintain detailed and accurate electronic health recordsEnsure compliance with clinic policies, infection control, and safety proceduresSupport clinical tasks and staff training where neededSpecific Duties:Conduct initial assessments, obtain vitals, and document patient historyPrepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures (e.g., pap smears, biopsies)Provide prenatal and gynecological education to patientsAdminister medications and injections as prescribedCollect lab samples and ensure proper documentationFollow up on test results and communicate care plansSchedule appointments, manage patient flow, and support continuity of careProvide patient counseling and education on contraception, prenatal care, or recoveryFloat to other OB/GYN clinics when necessaryQualifications:Degree:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Education:Graduate from an institution accredited by NLNAC or CCNECertification:Basic Life Support (BLS) – RequiredWomen’s Health or OB/GYN-related certifications – PreferredExperience:At least one year of recent RN experience in OB/GYN outpatient, prenatal, or gynecological care settingsLicensure:Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territorySkills and Abilities:Proficiency in women’s health and OB/GYN outpatient nursing proceduresExcellent interpersonal and patient education skillsComfortable with sensitive patient topics and discussionsStrong EHR documentation skills (e.g., MHS Genesis)Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgmentBenefits:Competitive Pay80 hours of paid vacation annuallyUp to 56 hours of sick time11 paid federal holidaysHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance401K PlanSchedule:Monday through Friday0700–1800 (7 AM to 6 PM)Coverage of up to 120 hours per week across RN teamNo weekends or holidays requiredWork Environment:Clinic setting in OB/GYN outpatient department at NMCPFocused on scheduled visits and proceduresMay require float coverage within OB/GYN outpatient departmentsImmunization Requirement:Must be vaccinated for MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, InfluenzaTB screening requiredNAVMED 6260/91 or DHA equivalent form must be completedSecurity Requirement:Background investigation and credentialing requiredOnboarding process may take up to 90 daysEqual Opportunity Employer:AIMS Locum Tenens is committed to equal employment opportunity and encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
