Summary Manages and is accountable for the planning, staffing, assessment, instructional leadership, communication, community relations, safety and security, and administrative management required to direct instructional and special programs; manages co-curricular and extracurricular activities and the operational needs of the facility, is available after the program each day to facilitate safe transportation of students returned to the summer program site. The principal will receive a summer supplement, determined by the budget, that aligns with the assigned program. Qualifications Must be a current FCPS employee; Postgraduate Professional License and endorsement as a school principal or in administration and supervision of preK-12, with five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or leadership experience, required. Principal or assistant principal at the middle or high school level, preferred. Knowledge of teaching theory and methods; excellent communication skills; strong ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate school staff program, and services; ability to develop effective working relationships with central office personnel, staff, parents, community, and the general public.
