OverviewMavin Foreman utilizes their specialized trade skills on a wide variety of construction projects. They report directly to the Mavin Superintendent assigned to each job and responsibilities can vary drastically from one job to another. Mavin Foreman performs their craft at the highest level of quality and with the precision necessary for successful project completion.The Details Characteristics: Decisive, Quality-Driven and Thorough Places great value on relationships with ALL team members, customers, and vendors Team Leader and Team Builder Relationship Oriented, Problem Solver Ethical Conduct Safety Conscious Flexible Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of construction experience Knowledge of at least one building trade and capable of performing that work without supervision Ability to read blueprints and specifications Must be a licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites Meet the requirements to be able to drive company vehicles Has general knowledge and ability to use small toolsOSHA 30 Certification Physical Requirements Able to lift 50 lbs Able to climb ladders Responsibilities: General Attend and participate fully in Internal Mavin Company meetings Quarterly MeetingsTeam Development Meetings Administrative Coordinate with the superintendent to ensure time is input correctly each pay period Complete expense report when applicable Assist superintendent with paperwork as requested Pre Construction Participate in Kickoff Meeting if applicable Assist superintendent in setting up the job site Dumpster locations Toilet locations Secure Temporary Utilities (power, water, sewer) Temporary Fencing Office Trailer Location Construction Assist superintendent with maintaining a safe culture and job site Enforce and comply with all company and project-required safety policies and procedures Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained and operating Ensure all appropriate PPE is available for each respective task Ensure job site is clean and organized Supervise and participate in various construction activities as assigned. Floor protection Demolition Blocking Rough and Finish Carpentry Hanging Doors and Hardware Touch-up Paint/Sheetrock Punchlists Cleaning Perform basic mathematical calculations and layout for general construction activities Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and operation guides Utilize a variety of hand/power tools and equipment Load, unload, and maneuver a variety of materials, equipment, and tools Instruct and direct construction and maintenance employees as required. Assist superintendent in ensuring work is installed in accordance with contract documents and meets quality standards Assist in troubleshooting and proactively solving issues Assist superintendent in accomplishing their self-imposed punch list prior to OAC punch list Additional Responsibilities/Possible Assignments: Obtain relevant certifications if required Train and mentor other Mavin employees Your Impact (Value + How You Make a Difference) Serves as a guide and leader for the internal team, subcontractors and vendors.
