Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. The network also includes 12 community medicine sites providing care to disenfranchised New Yorkers, comprehensive HIV services, chemical dependency programs, and a family support center that offers educational, vocational, and other social support programs. Learn more about Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, and interact with us on LinkedIn , Glassdoor , Indeed , Facebook , Twitter , YouTube and Instagram .Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Porter-FTMonday-Friday 8:00AM-1:00PM & 4:00PM-7:00PM.In this role, the successful candidate Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor of the Center, the Porter shall be responsible for working within the framework of Sunset Park Health Council, DOHMH, DOE, CACFP, and NAEYC / Quality Stars New York policies and procedures.Job Responsibilities:1.Ensure all sidewalks, sideways (front and back), and playgrounds are clean daily.2.Water all plants as needed.3.Empty all diaper pals as needed.4.Clean office desks & classroom surfaces /counter tops with bleach solution daily.5.Clean windows and doors weekly.6.Disinfect all adult and children toilets and clean all the mirrors and water sinks in the bathrooms daily.7.Empty all garbage in the offices, classrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and outside garbage daily.8.Replace garbage bags for all garbage cans in the offices, classrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and playground daily.9.Refill soap for all soap dispensers in the classrooms and bathrooms as needed.10.Sweep and mop all the classrooms, offices, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen daily.11.Vacuum all carpets in the offices and classrooms daily and wash them as needed.12.Refill paper towels, tissue paper, and toilet paper for the classrooms and bathrooms as needed.13.Clean all water toys with bleach solution and fill up the water tables with water for all classrooms as needed.14.Replace all the bad lights with new ones as needed.15.Ensure the center is clean and well-kept at all time.16.Order household supplies as needed.17.Complete the maintenance logbook daily.18.Organize the household supply closets and outdoor sheds as needed.19.Other work responsibilities may be added as needed and required.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Ability to speak, read, and write in English.Preferred Qualifications:Two years related work experience in childcare and High School Diploma or equivalent preferredQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.Family Health Centers at NYU Langone's network provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $31,866.64 - $34,368.77 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
