Position Overview Type of Position: Travel Description: Certified Nursing Assistant - Full Time PositionSchedule Details FT Day/Night rotation, 37.5 hours/week EOW & Holidays required based on facility need 5x7.5 scheduleRequired Qualifications NYS NA Certification Required BLS (AHA/RQI only) (1) Year of previous LTC experience - Must be licensed for 1 yearPosition Overview Under the direction of the licensed nursing personnel, performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by the certification The Certified Nurse Assistant must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed by adult and geriatric patient groupJob FunctionsResident ADL Care Resident's ADL's needs are met as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures within a safe and comfortable environment Including hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination/toileting needs, turning/positioning, skin care, etc. Documentation completed per protocolEnvironment and Safety Resident's environment and safety to be maintained as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures Including answering call lights and alarms promptly, provision of safety mats and low beds, restraint use under the direction of Nursing, maintaining cleanliness of unit, behavior and fall prevention, appropriate use of and monitoring for malfunctioning equipment, etc. Documentation completed per protocolNutritional Care Resident's nutritional needs will be met as outlined in the plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures Including meal delivery, tray preparation, adaptive equipment, feeding, nourishments, etc. Resident's preferences and choices shall be honored Documentation completed per protocolRehabilitative Care Resident's rehabilitative (restorative and maintenance) needs are met as outlined in plan of care and in accordance with policies and procedures Including range of motion, ambulation, transfers, proper body alignment and use of assistive devices Documentation completed per protocolReporting and Communication Resident's rights, refusals, and concerns are reported to Charge and/or Supervising Nurse in a timely fashion in accordance with policies and procedures Changes in resident physical, emotional and psychosocial status are identified and reported to Charge Nurse promptlyOccupational Exposure Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissuesRequired Skills and Experience NYS Nursing Assistant Certification, BLS (AHA or RQI specifically) - Required - 1 Years One (1) Year experience in LTC or CNA capacity - Required - 1 Years Meet Your RecruiterApril LaTurno
