Construction Quality Inspector

RK&K is seeking a skilled Construction Quality Inspector to join our dynamic Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team. This role involves conducting field inspections for a wide array of Transportation, Highways, and Structural construction projects in the heavy civil industry. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, acceptable materials, and effective construction methods. Manage multiple project assignments efficiently. Execute field inspections and utilize mobile devices for documentation as mandated in North Carolina. Review project drawings thoroughly in preparation for inspections, gaining a solid understanding of the construction design. Document inspection results accurately and communicate findings to supervisors. Conduct field measurements to establish accurate quantities for pay item documentation and other contract administration needs. Inspect work zones to ensure proper traffic control measures, effective erosion control devices, utility coordination, and the resolution of right-of-way issues. Qualifications A minimum of two (2) years of experience inspecting roadway construction, with knowledge of highway methods, materials, standards, and specifications. A valid driver's license and a favorable driving record. The capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
