Now hiring Senior Estimator (Direct hire) Location Oakdale, CA Salary: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:45 PM Pros Needed: Keep Our Operations Rolling. This is what it takes to work for us. 7+ years of hands-on estimating experience in structural steel fabrication Strong knowledge of AISC standards and fabrication processes Proven ability to prepare accurate, competitive bids Proficiency with estimating software such as FabSuite, FabTrol, Tekla EPM , or similar Ability to perform detailed takeoffs and develop full cost estimates Responsibilities: Review bid invitations, drawings, and specifications to determine full project scope Prepare detailed takeoffs for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and related materials Develop comprehensive cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and buyout items Prepare and price change orders on existing contracts with proper cost accounting Analyze historical data and current market pricing to ensure competitive bids Ensure all projects meet cost and budget requirements Meet with the Senior Project Manager when projected costs exceed budget and obtain approval prior to proceeding Coordinate with Purchasing to obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing Interface with internal departments and subcontractors to determine work and material scheduling Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and post-bid negotiations Collaborate with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Detailers, and Plant/Field teams to confirm drawing accuracy and completeness Review plans and proposals to ensure proper procedures are followed and company goals are met Maintain thorough project documentation to protect company interest Why This Job?
