Enterprise Risk Management - Governance Intern General Summary: Assists in maintaining the Bank-wide Model Risk Management program (MRM) aimed at ensuring models and related processes comply with internal policies and regulatory guidance, reflect best practices for their use and operations, and adhere to a strong control environment. Provides intermediate-level guidance and consultation related to the use, development, and maintenance of models used throughout the Bank. Learn the fundamentals of model risk management. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Assists in the implementation of MRM program. Assists in the governance of model risk management. Assists in monitoring the overall performance of the program. Opportunity for additional statistical duties if desired. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of the first two years of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a relevant field of study (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Data Science, and Math). Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong time management skills to ensure the effective and timely completion of assignments. Strong analytical skills to ensure effective analysis of supporting documentation. Proficient in office products including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. SharePoint is plus. Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with associates. Attention to detail, initiative, ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic. Working Conditions: Normal hybrid office environment with flexibility.
