Locum - Physician - Neonatology Southfield, MI

Job Description Exciting Locum Opportunity: Neonatologist - Southfield, MI Join Henry Ford Providence Southfield as a Locum Neonatologist and make a vital difference in the care of newborns within a Level 3 NICU setting. Required Skills: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology Fellowship training in Neonatology Valid state medical license (in hand) Current BLS, NRP certifications Experience with Neonatal Resuscitation and neonatal transfers Proficient in EMR systems such as Cerner, Ecare, PowerChart Ability to attend C-sections and transfer neonates Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in Level 3 NICU settings Additional certifications in neonatal advanced life support Experience with emergent neonatal procedures Familiarity with hospital trauma designations and documentation protocols Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Fellowship training in Neonatology Recent clinical practice in a Level 3 or higher NICU Proven competency in neonatal emergencies and transfers Other Requirements: Coverage needed from March 24, 2026, through December 31, 2026 Schedule: 7 pm to 7 am, in-house call, 4-6 shifts per month Specific coverage dates include 3/24, 3/28, 3/31, 4/3 Average of 0-4 admissions per day; approximately 12 patients daily Facility designated trauma Level 3 No travel reimbursement; mileage reimbursement only Credentialing timeframe estimated at 90-120 days Earn competitive compensation at an hourly rate of $0.00, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
