Feeding Hope: Nourishing the SFV Homeless Community

Volunteers needed for our Drop-In Access center in North Hollywood. Wednesday and Friday mornings 8:15 am - 11:30am Why: NHHA’s Drop-In Access Center provides a safe space for unhoused neighbors to access dignified services (food, showers, clothing, mail, medical services, etc.). Volunteers operate our service stations and can connect with unhoused guests in an environment that promotes safety and security for all. Behind the scenes volunteer opportunities also exist. Your volunteer work contributes to a healthier community for all. Who: NoHo Home Alliance is a nonprofit organization of residents and stakeholders in the East San Fernando Valley. NoHo Home Alliance is committed to addressing local issues around homelessness and affordable housing. What to Expect:The role of this Volunteer opportunity is to assist with operating the Access Center for Unhoused Neighbors.Responsibilities Include: Serving Food Cooking Food Sorting and distributing clothing Distributing Hygiene Items Checking-In Guests Operating Mail Station What's Required Minimum Age:18+ When you arrive staff will show you around and get you set at one of the volunteer stations. Come with good cheer and a welcoming spirit for our unhoused neighbors.
