Join Our Team as a Lead Software Engineer! Are you passionate about developing innovative software applications that drive the future of vehicle engineering and quality? As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating AI-driven solutions that empower product development teams. This role offers the chance to work with complex data, employ industry-standard practices, and mentor fellow engineers while shaping the use of data and AI applications. Key Responsibilities: Design and build data-driven and AI-enabled applications for Product Development engineering teams. Write high-quality SQL for data transformation and modeling across enterprise data platforms. Create and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Databricks for effective processing. Develop back-end services and APIs in Java and/or Python, integrating data and business rules into robust components. Engage with data science teams to deploy AI/ML solutions, enhancing feature pipelines and monitoring processes. Lead efforts to ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to define requirements and deliver value. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on clear documentation. Guide and mentor junior engineers in the latest technologies and best practices. Document software solutions, ensuring alignment with GM standards. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development using Java/JEE and Python. 3+ years of experience crafting complex SQL queries, focusing on performance tuning. Knowledge of cloud platforms and experience with data pipelines and ETL processes. 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies and cloud platforms. Experience in Agile/SCRUM methodologies. Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines. A willingness to learn and apply AI concepts in real-world scenarios. Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications): Master's Degree in a relevant field. 10+ years of experience in developing scalable software solutions. Deep familiarity with Databricks, Delta tables, and data engineering practices. Experience with migrating applications to cloud platforms and supporting AI initiatives. Knowledge in data modeling, data governance, and quality practices. Experience implementing observability practices for application and data services.
