Job Description As a Senior Construction Manager for Power Infrastructure Projects, you'll be instrumental in overseeing large-scale power infrastructure initiatives that support efficient data center operations. Your leadership will ensure that projects are executed consistently by managing schedules, costs, risks, and collaborating with power developers and delivery partners. In close partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll transform development requirements and contractual obligations into effective, on-the-ground construction outcomes that align with our data center growth objectives. In your role, you will oversee and coordinate complex power infrastructure activities, making sure all work complies with safety, quality, and technical standards while keeping schedules and budgets on track. You will engage with developers, contractors, and internal partners to identify, address, and resolve potential issues, escalate risks that may impact project delivery, and foster continuous improvement across all projects. Your strong technical judgment and proactive leadership approach will ensure that each project is completed safely, efficiently, and contributes to our long-term operational reliability and growth. Responsibilities Construction Oversight & Project Review: Gain a thorough understanding of large-scale power infrastructure projects supporting data center developments. Supervise developer-led construction activities and coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate any execution issues that might affect safety, schedule, budget, or quality. Construction Standards Implementation: Reinforce standardized construction management practices covering safety, quality, schedule, and cost control across power infrastructure projects. Schedule Management & Field Coordination: Assess and analyze construction schedules, coordinating project sequencing with power developers and contractors to maintain critical milestones. Cost & Change Management Support: Monitor construction budgets, commitments, forecasts, and change activities, reinforcing financial discipline and elevating any cost impacts that could affect approved budgets. Risk Identification & Escalation: Identify construction-related risks and challenges. Proactively escalate issues and their potential impacts to leadership to facilitate timely mitigation and informed decision-making. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with QA/QC plans, technical requirements, and relevant codes and standards, supporting the resolution and closeout of any quality deficiencies. Safety Oversight: Advocate for safety best practices and verify compliance with Site Specific Safety Plans across all construction activities, promoting a strong safety culture on-site. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal engineering, program management, commissioning, and operations teams, as well as power developers and contractors to ensure effective collaboration throughout the construction process. Site Engagement: Conduct regular project site visits to confirm progress, safety, coordination, and quality, while identifying execution risks or gaps. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to efforts focused on continuous improvement by pinpointing recurring construction challenges and identifying opportunities to enhance delivery performance across power infrastructure projects. This is a senior individual contributor role with a requirement for 25% travel, which may increase at times. Remote work is available. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management within the power infrastructure field, particularly supporting large-scale or mission-critical projects. A strong understanding of construction and project management fundamentals, including schedule, cost, risk, and quality control. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to internal teams, developers, contractors, and executives. Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of effectively navigating complex construction challenges and resolving issues. The salary range for this position in the US is from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum, and may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and compensation deferral.
