Job Requisition ID # 25WD94280 Position Overview Autodesk is in search of a Senior Identity Architect to play a pivotal role in elevating and modernizing our enterprise identity infrastructure. This position is situated within Enterprise Security, functioning as a key individual contributor with a wide technical reach and significant cross-organizational influence. While this role focuses on individual contribution, having a strong capacity to influence the direction and outcomes of large engineering initiatives is essential. The Senior Identity Architect will collaborate closely with security architects, identity and platform engineers, as well as productivity service teams to design and implement secure, scalable identity solutions. This role emphasizes hands-on execution, with a focus on ensuring secure access at enterprise scale while facilitating engineering efforts. Key responsibilities include Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and automation of the identity lifecycle. This role is crucial in settings where exceptional architectural leadership is required to maintain high standards. This is a remote-friendly position across North America, with regular travel to Autodesk hubs in San Francisco, CA and/or Novi, MI. Responsibilities Act as a senior technical authority on enterprise identity architecture, focusing on Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and identity lifecycle automation. Design and implement scalable identity solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including Azure and AWS. Develop privileged access models that support just-in-time, just-enough access, and robust auditability for both human and non-human identities. Lead architecture and integration efforts involving Microsoft Entra, CyberArk, and SailPoint. Collaborate with Enterprise Security and various teams to provide clear, engineer-ready identity architectures and standards. Provide architectural leadership, enhancing engineering consistency and rigor across the organization. Identify architectural gaps, risks, and technical debt, proposing realistic remediation strategies. Architect identity-driven access for end user devices (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), aligning with zero trust principles, Conditional Access, and privileged access controls. Ensure identity solutions conform to Autodesk's security, compliance, and operational standards while promoting productivity. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in computer science, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or security engineering. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a similar field with practical experience. 8+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), including PIM and Conditional Access. 8+ years of practical experience designing and managing identity solutions in Azure or AWS environments. 5+ years of hands-on experience with CyberArk, focusing on PAM architecture or equivalent technology. 5+ years of hands-on experience with SailPoint, including identity governance and lifecycle automation, or equivalent technology. Strong understanding of identity management principles, privileged access patterns and controls, and authentication and authorization protocols. Demonstrated ability to function as a senior individual contributor with broad scope and minimal supervision. Proven ability to influence and guide engineering teams through technical leadership and clear architecture. Preferred Qualifications Experience in large-scale enterprise or SaaS environments. Track record of modernizing or transforming legacy identity infrastructures. Familiarity with zero trust architectures and contemporary enterprise security models. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex identity concepts to non-specialists. Experience building and maintaining FedRAMP-compliant environments. For U.S.-based roles, the starting base salary is expected to fall between $159,800 and $258,500. Offers may vary based on experience and location, and could exceed this range. Our compensation may also include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
