Physical Therapist Job Overview: The Physical Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services, provides patient treatment that meets patient needs, uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with clinical procedures. Writes accurate complete and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payor and accrediting requirements. Responsible for overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants. Physical Therapist Requirements/Qualifications: FL licensure required Degree in PT from an accredited PT Program Knowledge of PT evaluation and treatment techniques Understand the principles of physical modalities in PT Knowledge of use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aides, assistive and resistive devices Ability to write specific objective documentation that is outcome orientated, detailing patient needs, potential to benefit from treatment and progress.
