Concrete Quality Assurance Manager

In this pivotal role, you will build and manage a talented team of technicians responsible for maintaining the utmost quality and integrity of our concrete products. You will conduct tests, analyze data, and devise solutions to enhance product quality, all while collaborating with various intersecting departments, including operations, production, sales, and technical services. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and non-routine analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished concrete products using industry-standard methods. Interpret and evaluate test results against established specifications and control limits, providing informed recommendations regarding data release. Conduct thorough visual inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve production challenges that impact product quality. Assist in creating and implementing quality control training programs for production staff to enhance their skill sets. Maintain accurate and organized records of tests, analyses, and other quality-related activities for accountability. Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the concrete industry, suggesting improvements to our quality control processes. Qualifications: Ability to accommodate varying work schedules, including day and overnight shifts based on scheduled pours. ACI certification is preferred. An associate or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Concrete Management, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous. 1-3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, particularly in the concrete or construction materials sector. Strong comprehension of concrete technology and testing methodologies. Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration. Capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software. Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings as required by SRM.
