Description Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing recognized assessments and careful observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Implement direct speech therapy sessions that enhance abilities in communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care plans. Educate patients and families to bolster therapeutic gains and encourage progression beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care. Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with all relevant state, federal, and organizational regulations. Keep abreast of advancements in clinical practice through continual education and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of commencement. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for all population segments, with an in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Flexibility to tailor therapy approaches to meet a variety of cultural and linguistic needs. Strong clinical judgement and adept problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation norms.
