Physician Assistant - Clinical Operations Manager Charleston Southern UniversityDescription The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Charleston Southern University is seeking a qualified candidate to join the team to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all operations functions related to the clinical phase of the PA Program. This role serves as the primary liaison between the program, clinical sites, students, and institutional partners to ensure site readiness, scheduling accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Clinical Education. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary liaison with clinical sites, hospitals, and preceptors to support student placement and maintain strong working relationships. • Oversee and coordinate with the DCE all aspects of clinical rotation scheduling, placement, and tracking for PA students. • Assist in maintaining and managing databases (e.g., Typhon, site tracking systems) to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Oversee and coordinate with the DCE site agreements, renewals, liability insurance, credentialing, and other documentation. • Coordinate with the Clinical Coordinator all onboarding and credentialing processes for students at clinical sites. • Partner with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure all administrative components of student and clinical site compliance are accurately and efficiently managed. • Respond to student and site concerns related to logistics, scheduling, and operational procedures. • Ensure compliance with all institutional, state, and ARC-PA regulatory requirements related to clinical operations. • Collaborate with institutional partners, including legal, risk management, and affiliated clinical sites, to ensure standards are met and maintained. • Collaborate with the DCE to align operational workflows with curriculum and accreditation standards. • Assist the DCE in clinical orientation, student preparation for rotations, end-of-rotation, and end-of-curriculum activities. • Support event planning and coordination related to the program as needed. • Support the mission and goals of the CSU PA program. • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required with at least three years of healthcare, higher education, or clinical operations experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and adaptable to other software relevant to duties. • Demonstrated expertise in scheduling, compliance, and accreditation processes. • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and engage with faculty, administrators, students, staff, alumni, and the general public.
