Field Service Technicians (Electrical experience or Mechanical/Millwright experience Preferred) Fast-paced shop currently has immediate openings for detail-oriented service technicians at its Avilla, IN location. The Field Service Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of heat-treating equipment. This position will have time split between the shop and field service at customer facilities throughout the United States. Candidates for this position must be self-motivated and will work closely with both the engineering and design team members in order to repair and service existing equipment as well as install new equipment. Travel required (50-75%) Responsibilities and Duties • Work closely with the design department to develop scopes of work on equipment. • Repair existing equipment on site using provided specifications. • Communicate effectively with customers on all aspects of maintenance and repair. • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems. • Use industrial equipment, hand tools, and table top tools independently. • Knowledge of heat treat equipment is a plus. Qualifications • Must be able to use hand tools. • Must have strong mechanical aptitude. • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. • Must be able to use precision measuring tools. • Must be at least 18 years old. • Must have valid driver's license. • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
