Position Detail Sovah Health, a two-hospital system on the southern border of Virginia, is located in Martinsville and Danville. We are growing with the addition of a hospital-employed, full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist or straight Oncologist to strengthen our established team. Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered. • Who are you joining? oJoin Hem/Onc and Rad/Onc physicians with APP support oStaffed with navigators, pharmacist, pharm tech, lab tech with lab draws in office, phlebotomist, office manager, clinical director (shared with radiation oncology) oLow staff turnover in the clinic awarding a true family atmosphere • What is your Day Like? oAverage 25-30 patients per day in the outpatient clinic oTen infusion chairs and two quick chairs oInpatient treatment referred to larger academic centers in the area • How Are you Supported? • oACOS-CoC accredited oBi-weekly tumor boards oClinical research trial program oAria Oncology information system o24/7 hospitalist program oGood working relationship with tertiary centers in the region oMost local cancer referrals come from GS, GI, Uro, Pulm, ENT and Neph.
