CNC Operator

Carson City, NV Order: 1059185 Order Type : Short Term Location: Carson City, NV Shift: Morning (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Job Description We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator who can independently set up and run CNC mills and/or lathes in a production environment. This role involves working with precision parts, ensuring machines run correctly, and making adjustments as needed to keep production on track. You will be responsible for meeting tight quality standards, following exact specifications, and keeping the work area safe and efficient. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision after training. What You Will Be Doing Setting up CNC mills and/or lathes for daily production runs Reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and specifications Monitoring machines during operation and making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy Performing machine offsets and verifying that parts meet required tolerances Inspecting parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other shop tools Keeping the machine clean, performing basic preventative maintenance, and reporting issues Working closely with Production and Quality to ensure parts are completed correctly and on schedule Suggesting ways to improve workflow, reduce scrap, and increase efficiency Skills & Qualifications Must bring your own basic tools Ability to read and interpret prints and work instructions Experience doing setup, including dialing in tools, loading programs, and verifying first-article parts Skilled at measuring parts accurately using standard shop tools Able to make machine offsets confidently and safely Experience with Mori Seiki, Haas, or Tree Citizen machines is a strong plus Solid math skills, including working with decimals and measurements Reliable, safety-minded, and able to stay focused on detailed work Pay Rate : 20.00 Skills: CNC Programmer CNC/NC Machines Measuring Tools Detail Oriented
