CNC Machinist Weekend shift

Title: CNC Machinist Location: Cudahy, WI Job Type: FTE/Permanent Shift: Weekend shift - Friday, Saturday and Synday Job Description:Responsibilities: Follows engineering setup charts to perform initial assembly of tools Interprets program to install all tools in the machine and establish offsets and adjust machine offsets to ensure part conformance Performs complete machining of first piece and verifies all dimensions on machines to corresponds with drawing Use instrumentation and gauges, along with shop tools to verify operational drawing requirements and part conformance Read and understand basic technical drawings / blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications Measure and document dimensions during operations and maintain appropriate machining and operations records Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED At least 5 years of previous CNC operation experience Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications) Experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Center Operator / Machinist Experience with metal forgings Machining Certification Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives. Strong knowledge of basic machining principles, GD&T, and ability to read blueprints Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail An Ideal Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years CNC machining experience. Knowledge of set-up and programming machines. Those with experience machining large parts and working with different types of metals will be most successful. Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a big plus.
