Job Title: Product Owner Work Location: Remote Duration: Full Time Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field and 5+ years of experience as a software product owner or similar role Job Description & Responsibilities: Define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product consistent with overall product vision Build cost-benefit analysis and ensure that required target of return on investment is met Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy Lead scrum teams: provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities Leverage Jira to review staff deliverables Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals Partner with Operations to identify areas in need of improvement to increase organizational efficiency and decrease risks Research problems and drive them to resolution Report on progress, statues, risks, and next steps to the Sponsors, Business Owners, and Executive Management Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field 5+ years of experience as a software product owner or similar role Cloud and Agile related certifications are a plus Experience with DB querying and creating data mapping requirements 5+ years of experience with loans and/or mortgages Experience with Financial services product is a plus Experience with user migration is a plus Proven track record of successfully launching technology solutions with geographically distributed team environment Experience managing complex software development efforts for application development with high visibility and aggressive timelines Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Strong knowledge of JIRA Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Knowledge of reverse mortgage servicing is a plus In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when implementing solutions Outstanding team management skills even in situations of no direct managerial responsibility Highly self-motivated and directed Ability to work under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment Demonstrated ability to multi-task, make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with timeline pressures.
