Job Title: Network Architect/Engineer Location Options: Englewood, CO Employment Type: Long Term Contract About the Role Job Title: Network Architect Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Network Architect responsible for the strategic design, planning, and security of enterprise network infrastructure. This role will oversee the integration of advanced technologies across on-premise data centers and cloud environments, ensuring a resilient, scalable, and highly secure network architecture. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of enterprise network architectures, roadmaps, and technical specifications across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network technologies, providing technical leadership to engineering and operations teams. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN to enhance agility and efficiency. Design and implement robust network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security fabric components. Develop and manage network segmentation and isolation strategies to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with security standards. Architect and manage load-balancing solutions to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and efficient traffic distribution. Oversee routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) across multi-site and global environments. Design secure connectivity between on-premise infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and remote access environments. Create and maintain detailed network documentation including diagrams, topology maps, and implementation plans. Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex network issues. Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams to align network architecture with business and security objectives. Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering. Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Network Architect role designing enterprise-level networks. Expert-level experience with routing and switching technologies (Cisco, Juniper). Strong hands-on experience with network security technologies including: Firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point) IDS/IPS VPN technologies Proven experience designing secure solutions for both on-premise and cloud environments (IaaS/PaaS). Strong understanding and hands-on experience with SDN technologies. Experience designing and managing load-balancing systems for high-traffic applications. Experience in network modeling, capacity planning, and performance analysis. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred Certifications CCNP / CCIE AWS Certified Advanced Networking Azure Network Engineer Associate Other relevant industry certifications
