NOW HIRING - JOB FAIR EVENT (Saturday at 12:00 Noon) Job Title: Wheelchair Agent (PT/FT - A.M. Shifts) Pay Rate: $20.74 per hour Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Shifts may vary. Position ObjectiveWheelchair Agent is responsible for safely assisting airline passengers who require wheelchair services either by necessity or for comfort. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, respectful, and positive airport experience for all travelers. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Safely transport passengers to and from gates, ticket counters, baggage claim, restrooms, and other airport locations while remaining alert to potential hazards. Provide special assistance, general information, and directions to passengers to ensure a positive travel experience. Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor when interacting with passengers, airline personnel, airport staff, and the general public. Coordinate assignments with dispatch and communicate effectively with gate agents regarding wheelchair-assisted passengers. Comply with all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint screening requirements and procedures. Complete wheelchair logs documenting daily "pushes." Accurately complete incident reports for accidents or unusual events. Perform light cabin cleaning duties as assigned. Perform other duties as required to support airport operations. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, squat, stoop, push, stand, and bend throughout the course of a shift. Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold 75 pounds or more. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced airport environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent may be required in some locations. Must have reliable transportation. Must have a reliable phone number for contact. Ability to read, write, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable) and comply with random testing requirements. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. Required Training Must complete all required company and airline-specific training programs prior to or during employment. Appearance Standards Maintain a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance at all times. Must meet company uniform standards. No facial piercings. No tattoos below the wrist or above the neck.
