UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full Time Administrative Assistant - Associate to support the MS Clinic!This position will work 8:00am-4:30pm. Hours are subject to change based on business needs. The MS Care Center provides specialized care for patients with multiple sclerosis and other neuroimmunology diseases. We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant Associate to support both clinic and infusion center operations. This role is responsible for supporting operations of the MS Infusion Center, including obtaining and documenting authorizations for infusion therapies, specialty medications, and imaging services. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling infusion appointments, answering patient calls, and providing general administrative support to the department. The position is cross trained to provide coverage for front desk functions and administrative assistant duties for MS providers as needed. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, provides general administrative support to a department or group of professionals. Orders office supplies and maintains office equipment. Helps supervisor and department prepare presentations (i.e., edits, prints, basic formatting functions). Performs routine clerical functions, such as copying, sorting, filing, and typing. Assists in researching, drafting, and/or abstracting routine reports. Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and messages. Maintains supervisor's calendar (i.e., schedules meetings and recurring events, schedules large conference rooms, orders food, ensures applicable equipment is available and ready for a meeting, may take meeting minutes). Greets, screens, and directs visitors to an appropriate staff member. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Previous work experience in a medical setting is preferred. Knowledge of insurance or authorization process preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Multitasking skillset preferred.
