Business Systems Analyst

Position: Business Systems Analyst (Job Code: 1379) Duties : Responsible for cleansing and validating Bill of Material (BOM) data for CAT Products; use SQL in a Snowflake database to retrieve historical BOM data and transform it into an established structure; utilize SQL and script languages and regular expressions; analyze and validate that the BOM data was successfully transformed and stored; apply knowledge of CAT Products and mechanical components to validate the completeness of BOM Data; work with the As-Built BOM to determine the proper methods to achieve results; utilize and apply knowledge of SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, AWS, Apache Airflow, Snaplogic, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CAT business systems/applications to perform assigned duties; conduct data analysis for product quality notifications using work orders, sims, as built BOM and engineering data in Snowflake leveraging smart SQL queries; create and administer multiple databases for Warranty transformation and product quality in Snowflake; build and deploy data pipelines in Snaplogic to load data into Snowflake; address and meet data needs for Warranty transformations projects; create dashboards for Warranty transformations and Product Quality; collaborate with multiple business teams; assess Gen AI translations for COBOL to natural language output in order to analyze business and data quality rules and enhance performance of Gen AI translations code; advise on CAT business and data related to service data, digital and warranty; write SQL queries to cleanse and transform historical Bill of Material data into a structured format; and validate Bill of Material data is accurate and properly structured. Location: Southfield, Michigan and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US; Salary: $121,784 per year; Minimum Qualifications: Education: Master's - Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); Training: None; Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Business Analyst, as a Systems Analyst, as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or in a related occupation; Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years use of all the following: SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, AWS, Apache Airflow, Snaplogic, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CAT business systems/applications.
