Why This Role Matters: Join our team as a Patient Safety Officer (RN) - Quality & Improvement Leader and lead impactful initiatives to enhance patient care and safety in our acute care hospital. You will play a key role in driving quality improvement, reducing risks, and shaping best practices-all while collaborating with clinical teams and leadership to create a safer healthcare environment. Who You Are: n RN with acute care hospital experience ( critical care background preferred ). patient safety expert-whether you have been a Patient Safety Officer or worked extensively in safety programs. natural leader with experience in quality improvement, performance metrics, and root cause analysis. problem-solver who thrives in data-driven, collaborative environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead patient safety programs, including monitoring national safety goals, falls/medication safety committees, and adverse event reporting (e.g., CDPH compliance). Conduct root cause analyses and develop action plans to prevent future risks. Design and track quality metrics, using data to drive improvements in care and operations. Train and mentor teams on best practices in safety, compliance, and performance improvement. Partner with leadership to align safety initiatives with hospital goals. Must-Have Qualifications: ctive California RN license (or another clinical licensure: OT, LCSW, PT, RCP, SLP, PharmD, MD). 4+ years in healthcare (clinical, admin, or related field). 3+ years in leadership (with or without direct reports). 2+ years in data/quality improvement (CQI tools, databases, or spreadsheets). Bachelor's degree (Nursing, Healthcare Admin, Public Health, or similar) OR 9+ years of relevant experience. Nice-to-Have Skills: Lean/Six Sigma, Agile methodologies, or project management.
