Your Day at Lowe's In this role, you'll utilize your specialized skills in conveyors, rolling stock, or building components to execute complex repairs. You'll independently diagnose issues and collaborate with leadership when necessary. Key Responsibilities Work effectively in a distribution/warehouse setting, managing physical and environmental challenges. Use tools for maintenance tasks requiring precision and dexterity. Perform specialized repairs in conveyors, rolling stock, or building components. Demonstrate mechanical and electrical aptitude for independent equipment repairs. Leverage trade skills and experience to identify and rectify equipment problems. Acquire the necessary parts for equipment repairs. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities. Follow safety guidelines to maintain a secure workplace. Stay updated on new technologies and maintenance methods through continuous learning. Minimum Qualifications Valid state driver's license. 2 years of relevant experience. Training or experience in electrical/electronic theory up to 600 volts (or willingness to learn). Capacity to lift 25 to 70 pounds; adherence to safe lifting practices. Comfortable working with corrosive materials and at heights above 20 feet. Certification to perform electrical work may be required based on local regulations. History of following safety standards. Preferred Qualifications Ability to perceive colors accurately. Experience with welding and fabrication. Familiarity with maintenance and operations vehicles and equipment. Capability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Schedule Requirements On-call support is necessary. Availability to work a set schedule adaptable to facility needs. Potential for morning, afternoon, night, or weekend shifts based on operational requirements. Working Conditions Expect varied environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.
